 OpenDoc (1..0.2)

Code Name: Amber, Exemplar, Jedi

The OpenDoc program itself resides in the OpenDoc Settings folder (inside the extensions folder)

  1. STR# resource ID 482 and scroll down to string 2.

You will see the the text

"They're EVERYWHERE!"

Works for versions 1.0 & 1.0.2; gone in version 1.2.

This seems to be a qoute from the Bungie game Marathon -- where occasionally computers characters (running away from the monsters) will run up to you and say this.

OpenDoc DR6 CD

  1. Take the last OpenDoc Developer Release CD (DR6), create a folder named "Secret About Box" on your startup drive
  2. Install the sample components.

This will fill the folder with icons carefully aligned that create a picture. The picture shows the names of the OpenDoc Evangelists, and a picture of the person who created the installer.

More

Also see Editor Setup which has it's own egg (and is part of OpenDoc).
