EASTERN PHILOSOPHY
Understanding.

I am not discussing Eastern Religions, just the basic philosophies of the east. The reason is because these concepts have profoundly influenced me, and some of the ways I look at things. I am not trying to convert people to a religion, and I am not into the eastern religions - just using these "other" ways of thinking to reflect on my own life and actions.

All religions and philosophies teach values, and give people moral tools -- which we can use to be introspective, and reflect on what we are doing and why we are doing it. Usually this is done by asking questions of people that they must answer for themselves, and in so doing those people are forced into thinking about things they might otherwise dodge. I feel that more people should do this. I do not care what tools they use to do this with; whether it is their political views, their philosophical views, their religious views, or just through talking with others. I am just trying to give a few more tools to people to be introspective with, hopefully to help them on their journey to self-enlightenment and understanding. And since we are continually growing and changing, we must always be learning and reflecting on ourselves. So these are here to remind people to think, feel, and live.

So I give you my summary's of the various eastern philosophies, for you to read and think about.

Pursue these if you want, see if there is something of value in these concepts for you.

Math is a man-made construct to help us to understand interactions in nature and around us. Philosophy, Rituals and Religions are also man-made constructs to help us understand nature and ourselves. That does not mean that any of them are wrong -- in fact math can be perfectly accurate way of describing what is. So can religions and philosophies. However, personally I believe there are many perspectives into the same concepts - like two different people doing a two dimensional drawing of a 3 dimensional car, with different mediums, skills, and from different points of view. Even though the core concept is the same - the expressions may be quite different, as is the way it is communicated.
