Apple Easter Eggs
Hardware: Macintosh Portable

Macintosh Portable Code Name: Laguna, Riveria, Malibu, Esprit, Guiness
Macintosh Portable (with backlit display) Code Name: Aruba, Love Shack, Mulligan

The first Mac Portable computer was released a long time ago and was a 17 lb monster. But it was innovative with a lot of things, like the first Active Matrix LCD, first built-in track-ball (which you could put on either side of the keyboard for right or left handed use), first portable with a battery life beyond a few hours (5 - 7 hours). Still it was a no-compromises monster that cost a fortune, wouldn't fit on an airline tray-table, and caused a few arms to be pulled from their sockets.

For those who have one of those hernia inducing behomoths, here is an easter egg:

There is a hardware etch, where the proprammer's signatures are etched in raised lettering inside the bottom (base) of the case. There are 62 signatures (if I found them all, and counted correctly), plus 7 names in 'type' under the heading "Product Design Team".
